[April 11, 2024] KakaoHealthcare (CEO Hwang Hee) announced on the 11th that it has been invited to and presented at the ‘Google Cloud NEXT 2024’, held in Las Vegas from April 9 to 11(local time), and also discussed global business collaborations with various global companies.
KakaoHealthcare was invited to present at the CRL(Customer Reference Live) session, a part of the annual technology conference ‘Google Cloud Next’ hosted by Google Cloud. CRL sessions are limited to around 100 carefully selected global partners, and this year’s CRL sessions focus on generative AI and latest technologies in different industries and various fields of interest.
CEO Hwang Hee was selected as the presenter at the only healthcare and biotech-related CRL session titled “Embrace Gen AI for Healthcare & Life Science.” During the session held from 4:00 PM on April 9th(local time), the CEO took the center stage introducing KakaoHealthcare’s business areas and its AI utilization cases.
CEO Hwang specifically highlighted the AI technologies applied to KakaoHealthcare’s services, namely AI-based mobile glucose management service “Pasta” as part of virtual care, and Healthcare Data Research Suite(HRS) as part of its data platform business, further explaining how these services and technologies aim to solve fundamental needs of users. Additionally, he further presented the cases of standardizing and improving the accuracy of unstructured clinical data using generative AI, as well as research outcomes on Federated Learning through collaborations with major South Korean hospitals and Google Cloud.
CEO Hwang also participated in a discussion with around 30 executives from global healthcare companies at the “Embrace Gen AI for Healthcare & Life Science” CRL session, with the topic of ‘the direction of the development of healthcare industry using AI.’ The CEO also discussed blueprints for technological cooperation and global business with global pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and technology companies like Google.
